yet more snow

Walked into the office from the hotel this morning.  A brisk 30 minute trip through a winter wonderland.  Less than a centimetre of snow on the ground, but it was gently snowing all the way.  I was the hight of fashion in my Slazenger baseball cap, motorcycle neck tube, early 80’s cordrouy and wool jacket, black combat trousers that my 13 year old son decided he didn’t like (yes, he is now so big I wear his cast-offs) and leather JCB wellington boots with fisherman socks.

But the ensemble worked.  I was sweating just enough to have a manly musk by the time I reached the warmth of the office.

Blizzard when we left for lunch at the pub, but as soon as we got there the sun shone.  Shame.  I was rather looking forward to being snowed in at a pub.  It’s all melted now, but more forecast for the next 24 hours.  12 centimetres back home this morning (that’s about a pint and a half, give or take a Farenheit, for those that aren’t metric).  So long as it’s all gone by my trip back home on Friday.

About snodlander
Snodlander is the nom de plume of Bob Simms. He is an IT trainer, but it's not as glamourous as it sounds. When he's not enthralling classes with adventures through SQL Server, he writes, draws and drinks his own home-brew. Buy his novel on Amazon Kindle at The Young Demon Keeper, It's 74p, for crying out loud!
