The Tour

On Friday afternoon Frank, techy support guru and comic genius, got a call from Stockholm.  The VPC images he sent them on DVD were corrupt.  No problem.  We’ll test the master copy we have in London.

Oops, that’s corrupt too.  Maybe it was the 4 Gb zip file.  No problem.  I can burn proper copies, test them, then get into Stockholm at sparrow’s cough on Monday to set it up.  I’ll have to do the same in Frankfurt on Thursday too.

So Friday evening, as everyone else is setting up classes for Monday, I am zipping files, burning them to dvd and then extracting them again to test.  Halfway through this Natalie appeared.  Nat is pregnant.  Very pregnant.  She worked for us as receptionist when Lisa temporarilly left to have a baby.  No way I’m sitting in that reception chair.

"Bob, I can’t find anybody, and I need help lifting something."

Yeah, right.  She doesn’t work here any more, why would anyone ask her to lift anything when she looks like a weeble, and anyway, I’ve heard rumours of a ‘surprise’ all day.  But I play along.  There in reception everyone is gathered.  Even the sales people who had no idea I was off to Europe.

They all wished me luck and presented me with a T-shirt.  There on the front is a picture of me that is not exactly flattering, but perhaps captures part of my essence.  On the back are the cities and dates for the next 3 weeks, a la rock tour.  Louis was responsible.

Aww, you guys.
