It was a dark and stormy night…

Well, actually, it was so clear that it left ice everywhere, but nonetheless…

It was a bright, moonlit night as I snuggled down in my hotel room, in that state just before you trip over something in your mind and jerk awake.  From somewhere in the hotel came a prolonged woman’s scream that would have curdled UHT milk.  I’m not sure whether it came from my floor or not, because it’s difficult to judge direction when you have buried your head under the pillow, trying to remember whether you double-locked the room door.  Doors opened all along the corridor, but there followed only silence.

This morning at breakfast the diners were exclusively male.  It’s all very mysterious.

About snodlander
Snodlander is the nom de plume of Bob Simms. He is an IT trainer, but it's not as glamourous as it sounds. When he's not enthralling classes with adventures through SQL Server, he writes, draws and drinks his own home-brew. Buy his novel on Amazon Kindle at The Young Demon Keeper, It's 74p, for crying out loud!
